Metalphoto is the highest quality anodized aluminum and meets the most stringent industrial and military standards. Graphics are embedded in the anodic layer and protected by it sapphire-hard surface that resists abrasion and chipping as well as most industrial solvents and chemicals. The black images are photosensitive compounds sealed within the anodic layer.
Because Metalphoto is a photographic process, symbols and lettering reproduce with exceptional sharpness and clarity, from the smallest type to the most intricate design, in black, natural aluminum or your choice of colors.

Ink penetrate down into the pores shown in the anodic cell and are trapped in them when the anodic surface is sealed. Your printing is then locked below the surface and actually becomes part of the metal itself.
When you design or specify product identification for electronic equipment, machinery, instrumentation, vehicles or other applications, you have specific and demanding requirements when it comes to selecting the right material. Requirements like durability. Attractive appearance. High readability. Cost efficiency. And a wide range of design options. All of these factors bring the most attractive form and logical function to your product identification. And that's why Metalphoto should be an important part of your specification.
And while Metalphoto is tough, it's also attractive. Because Metalphoto is a photographic process, symbols and lettering reproduce with exceptional sharpness and clarity, from the smallest type to the cost intricate design, in black, natural aluminum or your choice of colors. This is the design flexibility you've been looking for, enhanced by a variety of attractive finishes, and in thicknesses from .003" foil to a .125" plate.
Metalphoto can be die cut, punched, drilled, sheared or machined to your precise specifications. And you can put it in place with a pressure -sensitive adhesive or standard mechanical fasteners.
Metalphoto is so durable it outlast any other material and that's cost-efficient. With Metalphoto, you reduce replacement costs and at the same time, get exactly what you want, whether it's one-of-a-kind or a run of thousands.
ENGINEERING MATERIAL DESIGNATION: Material shall be Metalphoto in specified thickness and finish. Black images are photosensitive compounds sealed within the anodic layer. Additional colors may be embedded by resist or screen printing prior to sealing.
COLOR: Metalphoto plates can be background tinted in various color or selectively colored to meet particular design requirements. Although black and silver imaging can be used for both indoor and outdoor use unless protected from the fading effects of direct sunlight.
DURABILITY: Exterior exposure: black and silver images exceed 400 hr. Weatherometer testing, estimated equivalent to 20 years.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE: Metalphoto products are unharmed by most chemicals. Strong acids and alkalis have some degrading effects.
HEAT RESISTANCE: Standard black and silver products show no pronounce loss of legibility after 750 F. Images intensified products show no pronounced loss of legibility at 1000 F.
MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS: Metalphoto products meet a wide range of military and federal specifications; GG-P-455b. MIL-P-15024D, MIL-P-514D, MIL-P19834B.
